About Networking for Women

Our History

Networking For Women (NFW) was the first formal networking organization for women in Tulare County. It was founded in 1981 by a group of women who shared a commitment to women helping women. (Rumor has it, there were only gender exclusive business clubs and this was the answer for women in business that wanted to lift up other women.) These women shared a goal of providing a forum for women to engage each other in a personal and professional manner. Today, NFW carries on a legacy with the duty of its members to leave the organization beter than they found it. The mission is to help other women in business grow, lean on and learn from each other.
