Biography
I was born and raised in northern Lake County Illinois,on the Chain O' Lakes. I am happily married to Chris Walsh for almost 25 years. we have two wonderful children Vanessa 20 student at UC Irvine studing computer Science and working in the IT department. Our son Jade, just graduated from high school and will be starting at COS this fall, also works in IT here in Visalia. I am a rescue pet mom to three dogs and four cats. I love Camping, Boating, hiking, car shows and races, as well as shopping at my retail therapists TJ Maxx, Homegoods... and of course a great shot of tequilla, good Cabernet, or a great fruity, porter, or stout beer.

I moved to germantown WI for about three years before moving to Visalia in June of 2014 with my current company Hydrite Chemical co whom I have worked for since January 4th of 2000 and have been focused on inventory, manufacturing planning, process and systems improvement, vendor and customer relations. With 25 years in the industrial manufacturing, retail, and service industry sectors I am looking towards new opportunities, and committed to developing future Central Valley workforce. Working with business leaders to identify labor needs, connecting students to employers with pathways leading to unique work opportunities. Building relationships with employers, education partners, and Workforce Investment Board. Providing industry advisory support to Steering Council educators.

As I seek out my purpose I plan to utilize my professional, community involvement, and non-profit organization experiences to transition from industrial manufacturing into education and workforce development. Helping young adults broaden their horizons and take advantage of the unique work opportunities here in the Central Valley. Ultimately, working to develop a Central Valley Talent Pipeline Management network to ensure that we educate and support community members to develop a workforce for the future -
one that allows for happy workers in purposeful, and financially rewarding work within their community.

I am the current Visalia Economic Development Corporation Chairman, a director on the South Valley Industrial Collaborative, a Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Visalia community Enhancement Foundation Board Secretary/Executive director, and and Advisor for the Tulare Kings College and Career Collaborative
